Coffee 101: 10 Commandments of Coffee

1.Thou shalt always use fresh coffee.
2. Thou shalt not allow brewed coffee to come in contact with the grounds a second time.
3. Thou shalt not reuse coffee grounds unless it is to add to the compost heap!  
4. Thou shalt not critique other’s people methods of brewing the bean juice! If you are at some one’s house, just drink it! It’s how they like it. You may demonstrate your method is asked to do so.
5. Thou shalt not boil coffee. Coffee brewing water should be just below the boiling point. 180*f
6. Honor thy bean and grind it fresh when ever possible.
7. Thou shalt use clean, fresh water to brew the divine elixer.
8. Honor thy manufactuerer’s warranty on equipement. Please follow their recommended instructions for your own health and safety.
9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s coffee! If you didn’t make the office pot, ask if you can have the last cup!
10. Thou shalt support thy local roaster whenever possible. These people live in your neighborhood. Help them stay there!
